Stecoah Valley Center

This Center is a vital contributor to the preservation of the Appalachian mountain heritage of Western North Carolina. Throughout the year mountain traditions are celebrated through music programs, old-time festivals, workshops and other events that appeal to all age groups. The Center includes the Stecoah Valley Artisans Gallery which offers a unique opportunity to buy original artwork as well as the fine crafts. Also featured are many talented Cherokee Indian artisans whose beadwork, pottery, masks and artworks are produced in the traditional ways of their ancestors

Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians

Cherokee North Carolina celebrates the Cherokees' cultural heritage, including Unto These Hills outdoor drama and the Oconaluftee Indian Village. Museum of the Cherokee Indian, Qualla Arts and Crafts, Harrahs Cherokee Casino and Sequoyah National Golf Club are also located in Cherokee.

Graham County's Barn Quilt Trail

This trail highlights local agriculture and strong traditions in handcrafts. The trail spans across Graham County. From Stecoah to Robbinsville, Yellow Creek to Snowbird, there are barn quilts across the communities in the county. Quilts include traditional and non-traditional patterns such as Spinning Star, Ocean Waves, Inverted Log Cabin, original designs and more.
